SO GAME OF THRONES COMES BACK TO HBO THIS SUNDAY!!!!
If you couldn't tell, I'm a little excited.... Just a little....
I love the crap out of this show. It's seriously one of my top two shows. The only one rivalling it right now would be Breaking Bad. So in honour of this incredible show coming back to television, I made a review video on my youtube channel!
Enjoy!
The video was only posted yesterday and has already gotten a pretty good response, so I hope everyone likes it!
While I was home for the march break I started watching a short series that my mom recommended me that she really liked.
Survivors is a british post-apocalyptic TV series, with 2 seasons, only 6 episodes each. The show depicts a group of people trying to survive after a virus spread over the world, destroying billions of people across the globe. These SURVIVORS must ban together to keep each other alive, while other groups threaten to disband them, or even kill them.
SO, holy crap is it ever good! I am IN LOVE with this show! Which is unfortunate considering it was cancelled in 2010........ British TV you are a heartless bastard. I won't spoil anything, but the show leaves off on a HUGE cliffhanger, one which is never explored or resolved. I was so sad, not to mention mad that this wonderful show was cancelled, due to not enough viewers. BRING IT TO AMERICA, WE LOVE POST-APOCALYPTIC TV! Or at least that's what I think.
If you like the Walking Dead, you're sure to love this spin on a global epidemic meets the end of days.
Stay classy internet.
PS. Survivors is available on Netflix at the present moment. I STRONGLY recommend it. You see all the bold and underlining I did? THAT'S how good it is. Except even better. Enjoy!
So it's march break right now, and that's why I haven't been posting much this week (or last, but I was sick, so....) I'm at my home in New Brunswick, in the land of wonderful, so I've been busy seeing friends and trying to get stuff done for my book. As well as you know, applying for internships, figuring out my OJT situation and working on my outlines for a few videos.
I don't think I've made many personal posts on here, so this will be the first!
If you haven't been keeping up with my youtube channel, I've mentioned it a few times (my being sick) and I'm finally almost better, so hopefully I'll have more videos up this next week (I should since I have a bunch of ideas and stuff).
Soooo if you've missed my new videos, I've done a couple lets plays of the Slender: The Arrival beta, which btw is FULLY RELEASED TUESDAY! You know what I'm going to be doing all week... hehe. So in honour of that wondrous fact, here are my lets plays from this week:
The second one is kind of hilarious, so if you haven't watched one of my lets plays before, watch it. It's pretty great.
Was pretty dang sweet, not gonna lie. It had great visual effects, animation, etc. I loved how they took original storyline to mix it with this new story, without ruining the originals (Wicked and The Wizard of Oz, of course). I'm actually a pretty big fan of Wicked (broadway show), so the fact that they changed Glinda and Theodora's past bothered me at first, but I loved it in the end! They did a fabulous job!
Just so I don't spoil anything, I'll end this as a short one, because I'm REALLY excited after seeing it and I don't want to ruin it for anyone! Great movie, I liked seeing James Franco in a big role again, and all the lovely actresses did a stunning job <3
Before I go, just so everyone knows, I haven't read the Wizard of Oz books, so I have no idea how the original story goes, I can only go off the movies/musicals/broadway shows I've seen!
Stay classy internet!
PS - I'm pretty sick right now, so sorry for the lack of posts this week! I haven't had anything worthwhile to write about!
So my short 3 part series on the writing process is officially done! Well the main parts anyway hehe
I'm thinking of making more parts (probably shorter videos) to do with the writing process, such as character development, world building, etc. So I hope these videos have been helpful! I just realized that I don't actually have the second one posted on here so I will embed both below!
Psychological thrillers can usually be either really good, or really bad. I've definitely seen my fair share, and love many, so I was pleasantly surprised by "The Divide".
The Divide is about a group of people who get caught basically in the cellar of an apartment complex in New York City, after a nuclear bomb goes off. They all differ dramatically, from the bizarre and quirky owner of the building, to a mother daughter combo, and everything in between. Aside from the emotional trauma from this experience, they all discover that something more is going on. I won't spoil anything for the psychological thriller lovers out there ;)
What I loved about this movie, was like "Blindess", starring Jodie Foster, it was traumatic. You actually feel traumatized for the unspeakably terrible things they have to witness and go through. The movie is disturbing, I'll give it that, but it is GOOD. The plot is good, the character development, and devolvement was fabulous. I don't recommend this to the faint of heart, but anyone who loves a good story, you're in for one hell of a ride.
